about

"All Right" is a positive uplifting Roots Reggae vibration that was recorded at the legendary Bunny Striker Lee's studio and museum. The song is a message from EyeGen to keep on going no matter the struggles you may endure in life, because as long as there is food on your table and a roof over your head, you are blessed.

This track was produced by EchoSlim and the multi-talented Kashief Lindo, and co-written by Emmy nominated songwriter Alexander Star. This production team is known as Frens Fi Years (FFY). As "All Right" is the first track EyeGen recorded with EchoSlim, it seemed fitting that it should be the first to be released.

EyeGen
Yeeahahah
Uh Uh
Aaaaw

Listen to the voice and hear the message weh me bring
Selassie Sen mi come an a bare fire mi spitting
Tell them gimi di microphone mi soul blazing
Relax gi them mi style mi hear the crowd railing
Have love inna mi heart but mi nuh skin n mi nuh grin
See them a come around wid all material things
A try fi trick the youths with the vanity and blings
Bless all of those who wise and know Selassie a the King

Me keep trodding the way of Rastafari
Cause
Him put food pon mi table and roof over head
So mi All Right
Me keep trodding the way of Rastafari
Lord
Cause he's my king that's the principle of my life

Me keep it real an mah guh keep it clean
Love when pot a bubble an chalice it steaming
then everybody roll in
Chant a couple psalms an mek Di blessings flow freely,
Me tell the youths fi keep calm
Nuh bada pree war that is a negative storm
Just mek yuh mama proud no one nuh wah see funeral
Me have the microphone creating some magical
Cause
The natural mystic inside make you feel alive
Ghetto youths fi open yuh eyes
Hope yuh realize
The element of surprise
Look to the east and you know the King him arrive
Oh lord

Me keep trodding the way of Rastafari
Cause
Him put food pon mi table and roof over head
So mi All Right
Me keep trodding the way of Rastafari
Lord
Cause he's my king that's the principle of my life

Often we laughing no screw face
Full a militance cya draw me out like shoes lace
Nuh mix n mi nuh mingle nuh join the rat race
Everyday them brushing pon mi name like toothpaste
Nooo
Lord why do the nations rage,
Jah please show me your face,
Through the eyes you see disgrace
And it keep on, keep on Killing me,
Everyday them talking but mi willingly,
Me see them using style you must be kidding me
Stop misleading the child,
Blind cya lead blind
Just a likkle advise hope you listening

Me keep trodding the way of Rastafari
Cause
Him put food pon mi table and roof over head
So mi All Right
Me keep trodding the way of Rastafari
Lord
Cause he's my king that's the principle of my life
